Discovering Life’s True Purpose(Series 1)
Matthew 10:39 KJVA
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Hello Lovelies, been a while huh?
I’ve been out of it for a while now and I’m doing this post based on experience, nothing kicks better than a non-ficticious experience right?
There’s usually a point we reach in life where we simply can’t find our way, we get stuck at the crossroads with no memory of where we came from or where we are headed. It’s downhill from there if we do not rediscover ourselves (Been there, done that…back there again, that’s a story for another day).
It takes a lot to admit to oneself that we’ve lost our way or we’ve lost the tiniest iota of reality we used to hang onto or we have no idea where up is, or the fact that we do not know who we are, what to do or who we are destined to be…the confusion sets in once in a while (And we question our very existence).
What am I doing, why am I just existing, am I the only one in this place, is there a way out of here, why am I here in the first place? The questions are endless, they tear you apart all the more if you let them.
I could tell you that this will pass because it’s just a phase, I could also say you can make things better but, the truth is, without God’s divine intervention, things will keep going downhill (This is true to a fault).
I am absotively not the most religious person but I know God…(Not to digress considering there’s a post there somewhere) and I’m really saying until you reinvent yourself in Christ, things will keep getting outta hand…yeah, I just preached.
Jesus was all about purpose, he knew his goal and was focused on it up until he completed it and finally said ‘it is finished.’ That is the incentive He’s laid down for us. Time is of the essence if we want to fulfill destiny. To have a successful life, filled with God driven purpose, we need to put Him first.
Matthew 6:33 KJVA
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
We have a guarantee that if we seek His face first, we’ll get every other thing we need(Friendships, Relationships, Family, Education, Wealth). According to Matthew 10 vs 39, when you set your needs aside and first concern yourself with finding Him, you will seek both Him and yourself… It sounds easy, it is but, it takes committment to deligently seek and find God but once we do, we are transported into a realm where we are blessed with long life to fulfil the purpose God created us for.
Your life’s purpose is hidden in God, you haven’t discovered it because you haven’t sought after His purpose…
Relax, He knows who you are (1Peter 2:9) and He will guide you to where you’re destined to be if you’ll give Him the drivers seat. It’s the ONLY way to truly find yourself. Our respective individual beliefs play an important role in whether or not we choose to believe in the idea that God is the ONLY way to rediscover ourselves. Our view of the world and our personal experiences also matter, because if we do not believe it, we do not accept it…
It is important to scribble down your personal views on discovering life’s true purpose, the more the merrier huh?
